Winter Advent Spiral at Sophia’s Garden

Advent is a time when we observe the darkness of winter in our environment and in ourselves. We honor the darkness and prepare to walk towards the coming light marked by the winter solstice. We sang songs of light, shared ancient stories that honor this season and walked the spiral in the Sacred Circle. In the center we each lit our own candles to symbolize the courage it takes to bring our light out into the darkness.

One of the beautiful songs that was offered that night:

If all the people lived their lives
As if it were a song
For singing out of Light
Provides the music for the stars
To be dancing circles in the night!
